
Online Training: How to Set up a Social Media Plan
for PRIDE members only and for free
Social Media provides professionals in doctoral education many possibilities to communicate with PhDs, peers and stakeholders. This brings many opportunities, but also challenges of using platforms in a professional and also effective manner. As so often a good plan can help overcome many challenges.
In this 2,5 hour (including a shared 30 minute break) training you will first learn about new interactive and participatory practices of social media communication and how to use them in the context of doctoral education. The main goal of the workshop is for you to set up your own social media plan, guided by our trainer.
During the training you will
- Establish your goals you want to achieve with help of social media
- Discuss the profile you want to establish
- Learn about practicalities and technicalities you should and need to know
- Narrow down the content you plan to share
- Set up a review system to check the achievement of your goals regularly
The workshop will include presentations by the trainer as well as group work, using online canvases.
Our trainer, Maura Hannon, has been working in social media communication, community management and strategy development for several years. She also regularly trains Post Graduates in Switzerland how to use social media and develop a digital research space.
